How to make a great cup of green tea using loose leaves:
First, make sure that you buy your leaves from a reputable speciality store, as sometimes those that sit too long in packets in supermarkets may be getting a little stale and won't give you the best taste experience.
Make your tea in a small pot so that you can get a couple of cups from the infusion
Boil water, but then leave it to stand for 3 minutes so that the water is not at boiling point when you pour it over the leaves.
Let the brew steep for 1 minute - if you leave it for an unlimited time, you'll increase the caffeine diffusing into the water from the leaves.
If you like, in order to get rid of the infusion of caffeine, you can throw out the first brew.
The second brew you make in the same pot with the same leaves, will have hardly any caffeine in it.
Serve and drink!
