Mix the matcha powder with the hot water. Put on one side. Gently whisk the eggs in a saucepan. Add sugar to this mixture and beat well. Put the saucepan on low heat and heat the mixture, stirring constantly. When the mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a tablespoon, remove the saucepan from the heat. Place the bottom of the pan in iced water and cool the mixture. Add green tea to the egg mixture and stir well, cooling in ice water. Add the whipped thickened cream to the mixture and fold in gently. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and following the instructions given with the ice cream maker, freeze. Alternatively, you can pour the mixture into another container and freeze, stirring the cream from time to time. This delicious recipe makes 4 - 6 servings... unless you are really hungry!
